Each year for Spring Break we take a group of students to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. We partner with Chanku Waste Ranch (means “the Good Road” in Lakota), which is a camp that seeks to care for the Native kids and teenagers on the reservation and gives them a healthy and safe environment to be in. We have been working with them for a number of years and delight in the relationships that we have gotten to build with the staff and the natives that are living there.
For Spring Break, we spend our time doing service projects during the day and hanging out with the teenagers at night! This trip provides us with some sweet opportunities to grow in relationships with people who have grown up in a different culture than our own, and it allows us to serve a group of people who have given up their lives for the sake of spreading the gospel to the Lakota people.
The trip will be from Sunday, March 17th to Friday, March 22nd. The cost of this trip is $400. If you are interested in joining us for this trip, please fill out the application by clicking below! Even if you are unsure, we would encourage you to still apply so that we can walk with you through the process. We can’t wait for a great trip!
